Welcome to Croft Iris Company

The Northamptonshire Iris Nursery began as a passion project, rooted in a love for horticulture and a fascination with the elegant, intricate blooms of the iris. Our founder, a lifelong gardener and Trustee of the British Iris Society, set out to create a haven dedicated exclusively to this remarkable genus. Over time, what started as a modest collection in a country garden has flourished into a small specialist nursery, renowned for its select range of iris varieties and its commitment to excellence in plant care.

Each year, our nursery cultivates hundreds of iris plants, representing a spectrum of species and hybrids—from classic bearded irises in a riot of summer colours to the delicate, water-loving Siberian and Japanese irises. Our ever-growing collection is the result of careful selection, trialling, and a passion for introducing both heritage varieties and exciting new cultivars to British gardeners.
